Loyalist Gymnastics Club, in partnership with Stride Academy, is excited to announce our new Adaptive Program! This small-group, low ratio program is geared towards children and adults with behavioral and learning needs such as Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD and more!
Our Adaptive Program coaches have received specialized training and consultation from Stride Academy, one of Kingston’s leading behavioral service providers, and are excited to be able to provide an inclusive space at our club.
Classes will have a gymnastics or parkour focus. We also will be offering more opportunities for individual private or semi private lessons for children who have difficulty learning in a small group-setting.
Prerequisite skills for group participation include:
Toilet trained (if attending without a support person)
Following 1-2 step directions in a group setting (if attending without a support person)
Remaining with a small group (up to 6 children) either sitting or standing (if attending without a support person)
Imitation of peers or adults (if attending without a support person)
*** Parents are required to provide a support person for those children in need.
